Sigaram Thodu 2024: Summit for UPSC / TNPSC aspirants
CSK Global IAS Academy held a meeting for civil services aspirants last weekend, in which over 200+ students from various colleges participated. The speakers touched upon many aspects of governance and what UPSC aspirants should expect in their preparatory journey.
The summit had Mr. Chithrai Selvakumar, Founder – CSK Global IAS Academy, Prof.Dr.E.Balagurusamy, Former Vice-Chancellor of Anna University, Chairman of the EBG Foundation, Former UPSC Member & Advisory Board Member of CSK Global IAS Academy as Chief Guest;
Mr.R. Karpoora Sundarapandian IAS(R), Former Principal Secretary Govt. of Tamil Nadu, Advisory Board Member of CSK Global IAS Academy as Guest of Honour; Mr.M. Ponnusamy IRS(R), EX.Chief Commissioner of Customs & GST, Advisory Board Member of CSK Global IAS Academy as Guest of Honour; Dr.L. Balaji Saravanan, Superintendent of Police, Civil supplies CID, Coimbatore, Mr.K.S. Sathish, IFoS Regional Passport Officer, Coimbatore and Dr.P. Kanagaraj, Free IAS Exam Coach, Coimbatore as Special Guests. Academicians Dr.P.B. Harathi, Principal, PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore, and Dr.V. Rajendran, Principal, Government Polytechnic College for Women, Coimbatore felicitated the event. Alongside, Dr.M. Senthur Pandian, Director of CSK Global IAS Academy, and Mr.M. Rajesh Kannan, Executive Director of CSK Global IAS Academy were also present during the event.
Mr. Chithrai Selvakumar, a visionary philanthropist and distinguished business leader based in the USA, welcomed the guests with his unwavering dedication to humanitarian causes. He shared the inspiring journey of the academy, founded to support economically backward individuals by providing them with monthly stipends.
Dr. P.B. Harathi emphasized the importance of approaching exams with unwavering determination, while Dr. V. Rajendran highlighted how avoiding distractions can significantly enhance success in civil service exams.
Mr. K.S. Sathish elaborated on the diverse career opportunities offered by the UPSC and SSC exams.
Dr. L. Balaji Saravanan led an engaging, interactive session, encouraging candidates to adopt a positive mindset and offering valuable insights into effective strategies for tackling the UPSC exams.
Mr. M. Ponnusamy captivated the audience by sharing his journey, inspiring them with his belief that having goals is the key to achieving heights in life despite any adverse situation one might face in their life.
Mr.R.Karpoora Sundarapandian spoke about the role of government officers in bringing up new and beneficial schemes for the public. He also offered tips and challenges students may face while preparing for their careers.
Prof. Dr. E. Balagurusamy emphasized the vital role of Indian youth in building a corruption-free society, urging them to lead with integrity in fostering ethical governance. He highlighted that their collective efforts towards honesty and transparency are crucial for shaping a better future for the nation.
The students and aspirants proactively interacted with the experts in the Q&A session and gained more insights.
